We've Got Answers.
Everything you need to know about our officially licensed products, installation, shipping, and more.
Licensing & Authenticity
Are your decals officially licensed?
Yes, 100%. Every product sold by Dirty South Customs is covered by an active OEM manufacturer licensing agreement. We hold direct licenses from Ford Motor Company, General Motors (Chevrolet, GMC), Stellantis (Dodge, RAM, Jeep), Toyota, and Nissan. Our licenses are renewed annually and subject to quality audits by each manufacturer. You can request documentation of our licensing at any time.
What makes an "officially licensed" decal different from a knockoff?
Licensed decals use logos, colors, and dimensions approved by the vehicle manufacturer. Knockoffs are approximations: wrong Pantone codes, imprecise logo scaling, and materials that don't meet OEM specs. Our licensing agreements require us to submit every product for manufacturer approval before it goes on sale.
Can I get proof that my product is officially licensed?
Yes. Every order includes a Certificate of Authenticity on request. Email us your order number and we'll provide documentation within 1 business day.
Are your products endorsed by the vehicle manufacturer?
Our products are manufacturer-authorized under licensing agreements, which means the OEM has approved the use of their trademarks on our products and verified our quality standards. This is different from an official manufacturer accessory sold at a dealership, but carries the same trademark authenticity.
Installation
How do I install vinyl wrap without bubbles?
Clean the surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol. Apply in a warm environment (65–75°F). Use the wet method for large panels. Spray a light mist of soapy water on the surface, apply the decal, then squeegee from the center outward. Use a heat gun on curves and edges. Our full video installation guide is on YouTube. Search "Dirty South Customs installation guide."
Can I install vinyl myself or do I need a professional?
Most of our decal sets are beginner-friendly and come with a detailed printed guide. Full wraps and multi-panel stripe kits are more forgiving with professional installation. If you're new to vinyl, we recommend a professional for full-body kits, though door decals, hood decals, and sticker sets are very DIY-friendly.
Will vinyl decals void my vehicle warranty?
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because you added aftermarket accessories, unless they can prove the accessory caused the damage. Our officially licensed products meet manufacturer quality standards, which further reduces any risk. For warranty-sensitive vehicles, we recommend professional installation and keeping records.
How long do your vinyl decals last?
Our vinyl is 3M 1080 series cast vinyl rated for 5–7 years outdoors. With proper care (hand washing, avoiding pressure washing on edges, and covered parking where possible), many customers report 8+ years of performance without fading or peeling.
Can vinyl decals be removed without damaging paint?
Yes. Use a heat gun or heat lamp to soften the adhesive, then peel slowly at a low angle. Any remaining adhesive can be removed with Goo Gone or adhesive remover. Properly applied and removed vinyl should leave paint in perfect condition. We do not recommend removing vinyl in cold weather.
Shipping & Orders
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes, all 50 states. Standard shipping (3–5 business days) is FREE on all orders. Expedited options (1–2 day) are available at checkout. We ship from our fulfillment center in the South, so East Coast and Southeast deliveries often arrive faster than estimated.
How is vinyl shipped to prevent damage?
All vinyl ships rolled, never folded. Larger kits are shipped in rigid cardboard tubes. Decal sets ship flat in protective kraft mailers with cardboard backing. We've packaged over 5,000 orders without a single shipping damage claim.
What is your return policy?
Unused, unopened products can be returned within 14 days for a full refund. Once a vinyl product has been applied, it cannot be returned (this is standard for all vinyl products industry-wide). If a product arrives damaged or defective, we'll replace it at no cost. Just send us a photo.
